Iowa alternates between flat and rolling, but today's thrill was this roller coaster section. The red lights are from the lead vehicle of a wide load approaching.
I also traveled on a back road along the Iowa River through the Meskwaki Indian Settlement, site of a big pow wow affair in August. The grounds were flooded though now. The casino must have been on the highway. These are apparently the only native Americans in Iowa, who managed to hang on and purchase the land and now have tribal rights without having a reservation.
Had to stop early today, due to severe thunderstorms approaching, and more tomorrow.
